Our Microscopic World
Wednesday, June 10
3:30pm - 5:00pm
Explore the minute and detailed world around you by exploring magnification with pocket microscopes.
You see grass, trees, clothing, cars, books, pencils and thousands of objects everyday. But what do they really look like? What makes the grass bend in the wind and not break? What makes your wool sweater itchy, or salt coarse and and sparkly? Today we will answer some of those questions as we use pocket microscopes to look at objects from the world around us and describe them in detail through a narrative or drawing. Will you predict what you will see? Will you be shocked by what your chair or a book looks like up close in zoomed in detail? Find out about our microscopic world on your next visit to Port Lambton Library!
Recommended for ages 8-13
Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
