Join us to learn about the traditions behind kimchi, the science of fermentation, and enjoy a guided tasting of several unique varieties. Presented by Jiak.
We will explore the cultural significance of this iconic fermented food, guiding participants through the traditional kimchi‑making process while explaining the science of fermentation—how beneficial microbes transform simple ingredients into complex flavors and preserve food naturally. The experience concludes with a guided tasting of several kimchi varieties, highlighting how fermentation techniques influence taste, texture, and aroma.
Locally sourced and lovingly homemade, Jiak invites participants into a rich cultural and sensory experience centered on kimchi.
Kimchi will be available for purchase from Jiak following the program.
