Solar Oven Crayons
Summer Reading Challenge
Tuesday, July 21
3:00pm - 4:00pm
This is the perfect time of year to learn about the sun and have some “fun in the sun” doing creative activities outdoors!
This experiment demonstrates solar energy and shows students how to trap the sun’s natural heat to make an oven. We will use our previously created solar oven to melt old crayons into new ones!
Please note that a service dog may be present in the library during this program. Service dogs are working animals and should not be petted, fed, or distracted.
Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
