Create a twisted paper oak tree on canvas with recycled materials.
Make your very own gnarled and twisted oak tree from recycled paper and cardboard tubes that will divert waste from landfills while transforming these everyday materials into a stunning, and even mystical, decor piece for your home that will be sure to receive compliments from all who see it.
Week 1 - This week, we will learn the technique to twist the paper, and how to gather and shape it into a stunning 3-D oak tree. We will also make the tree's leaves.
Week 2 - This week, we will paint the background canvas and attach our 3-D tree, arranging and adjusting the twists and placing the leaves so that it appears to be growing and popping out of the canvas. The gnarlier and twistier you make your tree, the more realistic and majestic it will look!
All materials will be provided.
Recommended age: 16+
