Learn about the life cycles of a butterfly, then get creative and make a caterpillar with tissue paper and glue.
Listen to a reading of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle, then make tissue paper caterpillars. After that we will read “Papilio” by Ben Clanton, Corey R. Tabor, and Andrew Chou Musser and learn about the life cycles of a butterfly. Go on a hunt in the children’s library to search for butterflies in a mini scavenger hunt or play a memory matching game. All materials will be provided.
Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
