Flexagons
Summer Reading Challenge
Tuesday, August 04
11:00am - 12:00pm
Learn about triangles, angles, and paper folding.
Flexagons introduce children to math concepts such as topology, 3D geometry, and symmetry in a physical, memorable way.
Listen to a story about triangles, learn about angles and degrees, and create a paper flexagon.
Flexagons are a creation demonstrating topology: a branch of mathematics often called "rubber-sheet geometry," studying properties of shapes that remain unchanged when stretched, twisted, or bent but not torn.
This program is recommended for children aged 9-12 yrs old.
Registration is required.
