Learning for Life - Writing Challenge

Put your writing skills to the test by trying our monthly challenges, then join our in-person discussion for an informal chat about the entries.

For October's meeting, the challenge is: Set the Scene. Try to capture a mood or a narrative purely by describing a setting. (If you're having trouble thinking of a good scene, try capturing the mood of a setting from a favourite movie or TV show!) The prompt word is "edge," and the word count limit is 300 words. 

Entries must follow the word count limit and be family-friendly, but feel free to interpret the prompt however you like—write in any genre, style, or mode, express your creativity, and have fun.
