Hear from Rick Gray about gardening with native plants.
Author Rick Gray, "The Native Plant Gardener", will discuss native plants and the importance of native insects and pollinator habitats. He will then look at some plant options for those tough-to-garden properties with suggestions for heavy clay, for dry shade, for low wet areas, and for dry, shallow soils. Rick will also provide suggestions for salt tolerant plants that can be grown in boulevards.
Reserve Rick Gray's book "The gardener's guide to native plants of the Southern Great Lakes region".
Attendees will also have the opportunity to win a copy of the book following the presentation.
