Featuring Romance Author Jenny Holiday
Thursday, February 12
6:00pm - 8:30pm
Join us for an enchanting evening celebrating all things romance! Come celebrate the sweet, swoony, and spicy world of romance books at the Sarnia Library!
We kick off the evening with an hour of romance-themed activities, including:
- Romance Book Matchmaking: Let our experts pair you with your next literary love based on your favourite tropes, moods, and settings.
- Blind Date with a Book: Feeling adventurous? Grab a mysterious wrapped book and take a chance on a romance you never expected!
- Craft Your Trope: Get hands-on by creating DIY Valentine’s cards and custom button badges featuring your absolute favourite romance tropes (enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, grumpy/sunshine, and more!).
- Star in Your Own Romance Book Cover: Be the star in your own romance book cover using our green screen technology. Take home a printed photo souvenir.
While you mingle and create, sip on our exclusive, themed signature mocktail.
Following the hour of fun, move to the library theatre for the main event: a live, engaging Q&A session with beloved romance author Jenny Holiday! She'll share insights into her writing process, her latest books, and what makes a great love story.
Jenny Holiday is a USA Today-bestselling author whose books have been featured in The New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, and The Washington Post. She grew up in Minnesota and started writing when her fourth-grade teacher gave her a notebook to fill with stories. When she’s not working on her next book, she likes to hike, throw theme parties, and watch other people sing karaoke. Jenny lives in London, Ontario, Canada.
Check out the library catalogue for Jenny's books, including: Earl's Trip, Canadian Boyfriend, A princess for Christmas, and Mermaid Inn.
