Kids' Club - Media Literacy

Drop in and complete fun activities related to our weekly theme: media literacy with a Hallowe'en twist.
Whether they are crafts, games, or scavenger hunts, our themed weekly activities are both educational and a great way to connect with peers. This week, we will explore media literacy through the lens of Hallowe'en. What methods does the media use to tell you how you should feel about a particular item or communicate "good" or "evil" without using words? We'll explore this through looking at horror movie posters and Hallowe'en costumes. We'll also turn into spooky fact checkers to see if kids can tell which Hallowe'en media posts are true and which are spooky urban legends in the making.
Recommended: Ages 8-12
Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
