Enjoy weekly afterschool activities at the library.
Stop by the library to enjoy afterschool activities. Themed, weekly activities are both educational and a great way to connect with peers. Each week we will explore or create something new.
Sept. 9: Later ‘Gator – Make a 3D alligator out of packing paper and go on an alligator hunt.
Sept. 16: Print Making – Create a giant stamp and use it on a sheet of paper.
Sept. 23: Swing into Fall – Build a swing in a shoe box for a paper person and see if it works.
Sept. 30: Be a Hairstylist! – Make a pipe cleaner person with wild hair you can style. You get to cut their hair.
Oct. 14: Googly Eye Search – Search for the hidden google eyes in the library and create your own google eyed creature.
Oct. 21: Build with Dynamic Structures - Build with Rigamajig! Can you build a dinosaur or a ship? Maybe it will be a giant pulley system?
Oct. 28: A Little Bit of Magic – Create a mini, glittering galaxy in a tiny jar and then learn how to make colour appear like magic in a blank drawing.
These programs are recommended for children ages 5-12.
Children under 10 must have a caregiver present.
