Go behind the lens with renowned music photographer Richard Beland. He will share stories from his career capturing some of the world’s most iconic musicians.
This immersive evening mixes photography, live music, selected readings, and conversation as Richard shares from his book Our Immortal Stars Vol. 1. , which covers four decades of capturing some of the world’s most iconic musicians from Led Zeppelin to The Rolling Stones to the Tragically Hip. Richard's personal stories about his experiences with bands he has photographed will have backing tracks with live music from Jeff Getty for a truly unique experience for music fans, photographers, and anyone who loves art. The show will be followed by a Q&A with Richard.
A Canadian photographer and educator based in Sarnia, Richard currently leads Lambton College’s Digital Photography Program, inspiring the next generation of visual storytellers.
Doors to the theatre will open at 6:15 p.m. There will be light refreshments and a green screen activity in the lobby beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Sarnia Library Theatre
The Sarnia Library houses a 306-seat accessible theatre. Up to nine seats can be removed to accommodate barrier free seats.
The theatre is equipped with LED lighting along aisles, wall sconces and ceiling, sound equipment, projection screen, stage, lobby area with servery and barrier free washrooms.
