Writing Your Life
Culture Days
Friday, September 18
1:30pm - 3:00pm
Join writer Kate Henderson for a writer's workshop.
Have you ever considered how your unique lived experience distinguishes your story? But while we each have a story to tell, beginning a writing practice may be daunting for some. Even experienced writers may forget some of the basics, like keeping your writing focused, organized, clear, and well-paced. Kate will discuss these things and lead participants in a short reading and writing exercise.
Kate Henderson obtained her master's in creative writing at Concordia University in 1992. She recently retired from McGill University, where she worked as a communications consultant. She enjoys writing in the mornings and walking and river watching are part of her daily practice.
