Larry Towell is an internationally renowned freelance photographer. He is presenting on both past and more recent bodies of work, followed by a book signing.
Larry Towell has been photographing Mennonites in Canada and Mexico for over ten years, and his collection, “The Mennonites”, creates a unique and intimate portrait of an often misunderstood people. In addition to his images in this collection, Towell’s own texts tell in poignant and descriptive detail his experiences with the Mennonite communities: the harshness and poverty of their rural existence, the disciplines and contradictions of their religion, their hunger for land and work, and the constant struggle to keep the modern world at bay.
His work has resulted in thirteen books, hundreds of journal publications, and international exhibitions. Larry is also a story teller, poet, and musician.

The Sarnia Library houses a 306-seat accessible theatre. Up to nine seats can be removed to accommodate barrier free seats.
