Each week we'll investigate different aspects of water science through hands-on experiments and have lots of fun along the way!
July 4 - Surface Tension: How much water can fit on a coin? This question, as well as others, will be answered as we play games and perform experiments!
July 11 - Cartesian Diver: Why don't fish float to the surface of water like we do? We'll construct a Cartesian diver in a bottle to explore this question and see what we find out
July 18 - Navigation: How would you find your way if you didn't have GPS or a compass? Come and find out how to build a basic compass, learn to navigate with the stars, and tell time with the sun
July 25 - Wetlands and the Water Table: What are wetlands and why are they important? Learn how they help filter our ground water and keep all sorts of gross stuff out of our waterways
Aug 8 - Oil and Water: They don't mix, so lets have some fun with that.
