Whether they are crafts, games, or scavenger hunts, our themed activities are both educational and a great way to connect with peers.
This week, create with Perler beads! Choose from a variety of bead colours and peg boards. Program is designed for ages 6 to 9. Registration is required.
Perler beads are small, plastic beads that can be arranged on a special pegboard to form a design. The beads are then melted together using wax paper and an iron. Participants will develop their physical literacy skills by practicing fine motor movements with the placement of beads. They will also develop their colour literacy skills as they select colours to complete projects and differentiate between more than one shade of the same colour.
Children under 10 must have a caregiver present.
This program will focus on creating while incorporating elements of S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics).
