This event will be a discussion about raising awareness for pregnancy and infant loss. It will feature guest speaker Nicole Hackney.
Participants will be able to discuss pregnancy and infant loss with guest speaker, Nicole Hackney.
Nicole is a passionate advocate for pregnancy and infant loss awareness, drawing from her own journey through five profound losses. As a dedicated listener, she has helped numerous moms and partners navigate their grief by sharing both her story and the experiences from her loss journey. Nicole’s commitment to raising community awareness led her to collaborate with MPP Peggy Sattler, where she shared her story in the House of Commons to support Bill 141, the Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness, Research, and Care Act, an experience she will always cherish. Honored as bereaved parents at the Pregnancy and Infant Loss Summit, Nicole and her husband continue to honor their children’s memories by empowering others on their healing journeys. She believes in the importance of connection and support and remains dedicated to advocating for better perinatal care and research in our communities.
This program is designed to be a safe-space to share stories of grief and experiences with loss. It is strongly recommended for adults aged 18+ due to the sensitive nature of the topic. A social worker from North Lambton Community Health Centre will also be available.
This event is not designed to provide any medical advice or diagnosis.
