Creating Your Profile for Networking and Job Hunting
Looking to grow your professional network, search for jobs, or simply increase your professional online presence? Register for LinkedIn Basics!
Adults at all stages of their careers are invited to join us to learn more about LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network on the internet.
In this 90-minute session, participants will learn:
- About LinkedIn, and whether it is a good fit for you
- How to create an account and complete your profile
- How to use LinkedIn for job hunting
- Where to find tools such as the Resumé Builder and Salary Tool
- How to build and expand your network
- How to control your privacy settings
- How to share your LinkedIn Learning achievements
Participants are strongly encouraged to come prepared with the following:
- A recent copy of their resumé
Access to their email account
A high-quality photo of themselves in a digital format
A limited number of devices will be available for participant use. Participants can also choose to bring their own device (laptop or tablet recommended) if they would prefer to use their own.
Basic mouse and keyboarding skills are required.
