This program will explore basic engineering concepts such as balance and stability, and basic concepts of magnetism like polarity while engaging in problem solving and co-operative play
Using the play items "Straws and Connectors" children are able to create a wide variety of structures and experiment with very basic concepts of structural engineering, such as creating wide bases, and using symmetry for balanced structures.
Tegu block are wooden blocks of various shapes and sizes with magnets built in to help stabilize structures. Structures can be built by simply stacking the blocks, but the magnets can be used to provide increased stability and the ability to make structures that defy gravity.
this program is recommended for ages 8-12
Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
