Join us for a performance from Ojibway Flute Player Kelly Kiyoshk, featuring songs from his new album "Reverence".
The concert will take place on the Main level of the Sarnia Library.
Kelly Kiyoshk is an Ojibway Flute Player born and raised in the Anishnaabe community of Bkejwanong. Kelly has dedicated his life to playing and crafting Native American Flutes.
In 2000, he recorded his original album, which was later released in 2005 by Sunshine Records. The album gained recognition and was nominated for a Canadian Aboriginal Music Award for Best Instrumental Album of the Year. Since then, Kelly has been sharing his flute music primarily in Ontario, as well as in the United States and even Korea.
In addition to his flute playing, Kelly is also a skilled flute carver. He also sells the flutes he crafts, constantly improving his designs over the years by incorporating different woods and creating more stylish instruments.
Looking to the future, Kelly is eager to further his musical career and flute-making endeavors. With his passion for music, commitment to his community, and dedication to his craft, Kelly continues to inspire others through his flute playing and flute carving, leaving a lasting impact on both the communities he serves and the broader world of music.
