John Labatt's Kidnapping

Commemorate the 90th anniversary of the kidnapping of John Labatt. Local storyteller Brad Gray will be recounting this historic event, which took place on August 14th, 1934.

Hear this historical event retold by Brad Gray, who was inspired by the book "Snatched" written by Susan Goldenberg. You can find a copy of that book in the Lambton County Archives.

This event will take place outdoors so please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Registration is highly encouraged. There will be shade tents set up for a maximum of 20 people, and seating for 30 people will be provided. Please be prepared to bring a lawn chair in the case that the available seating is taken when you arrive. In the case of inclement or extreme weather the program will be cancelled and each registrant will be notified by phone.
