Build with Contraptions
Saturday, May 25
2:00pm - 2:50pm
Build with contraptions! This is a great way to learn about engineering while exploring your creativity.
Create your own contraption, a marble run that uses building blocks and rails for a marble run. Small ramps and drops through building blocks use gravity to build momentum for the marbles to run across the rails. The construction needs to be so exact that if there is one piece out of place, the marble will not complete the run. For this reason, constructing a marble run is not unlike coding, where exact instructions need to be given to create the desired result.
This program will focus on building while incorporating elements of S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics).

This program is designed for children ages 5 to 8.
